20 years of ROG: ASUS has grown... gaming too (and it's no coincidence)

When ROG arrives in the mid-2000s, PC gaming is not yet mainstream. Configurations are tinkered with, overclocking is reserved for enthusiasts, and mainstream brands don't really dare to address hardcore gamers .

For this anniversary, ASUS did not try to break everything Instead, the brand focuses on:

• more machines clean , better finished
• screens always more top of the range
• a more in-depth integration between hardware, software and actual usage

It's not a revolution, but rather a consolidation of 20 years of experience.

If there is one area where ROG remains very strong in 2026, it is gaming screens. ASUS is pushing hard on OLED, QD-OLED, and well-mastered high frequencies.

At its core, this anniversary mainly tells one thing: PC gaming has grown up.

ROG grew up with him.

Less crazy, less experimental, but more structured, more accessible, cleaner.

And even if we can regret a more "garage & tinkering" era, it's hard not to recognize that without ROG, the market would clearly not be what we know today .
