Crimson Desert: complete guide to cooking (recipes, feasts, and ingredient farming)

kitchen crimson desert recipes cooking crimson desert cooking guide 2026

All cooking recipes from Crimson Desert, from basic skewers to endgame feasts. Featuring the best dishes by effect, tools, and where to farm the ingredients.

Cooking in Crimson Desert is not cosmetic.

You can ignore the kitchen for a few hours. Grilling meat over a campfire, eating your Grilled Meat to +140 HP and move forward. But as soon as you attack the bosses of chapter 5-6, or explore the icy Abyss zones, basic food is no longer enough. A Harvest Soup +500 HP and +42 Spirit with Ice Resistance Lv 6, it literally changes the fight.

The kitchen system is based on the improvisation : you toss ingredients in a pot or on a grill, and if the combination is valid, you get a dish. Succeed the same recipe three times and it unlocks permanently in your notebook. No need to guess afterwards.

This guide covers everything: recipes by category, the best dishes according to your situation, where to find kitchen tools, and above all how to farm ingredients without spending your life on it.

The four types of cooking (and their tools)

Each recipe requires a specific tool. If you cook in the wrong place, nothing happens. That's how it works.

Campfire (Grilled)

The most basic. You find campfires all over the world, or you light one yourself. This is where you do your simple grilling : grilled meat, grilled fish, grilled vegetables. One ingredient = one dish. No complex recipe, no special tool. It's your basic survival.

Field Grill (Cooking Tool)

The field grill allows for intermediate recipes: skewers, fried foods, marinades. It's the bulk of the catalog. You can find them in camps, inns, and you can install one at home. Recipes use 2-5 ingredients and provide bonuses. Fire Resistance Lv 2-4 in addition to healing.

Field Pot (Cooking Tool)

The field pot is for soups and porridges. Same logic as the grill, but the dishes give some Ice Resistance instead of Fire Resistance. Essential for northern areas and icy dungeons. The key ingredient here is the water — almost all recipes call for it.

Special Cooking Tools (Griddle, Iron Pot, Feasts)

Special tools unlock the most powerful recipes in the game. The Special Griddle is purchased from a furniture seller at Balenos (village to the east, at the end of the road near the lake). The Special Iron Pot is found on the black market for wagons on the Nass River , below Anvil Hill. Look at the bottom of the seller's list in both cases. And since patch 1.12, you can also craft tools at the Workstation (Greymane Camp, Timberham Sawmill) and at Loom (Boutique Tailleur Hernand).

Basic recipes: campfire grilling

Nothing fancy here. One ingredient, one fire, one dish. But do not underestimate grilling: in early game it's your daily bread, and even in mid-game a stock of Grilled Meat (+140 HP) in the inventory saves runs.

  • Grilled Meat — Meat x1 — HP +140
  • Grilled Fish — Medium Fish x1 — HP +160
  • Large Grilled Fish — Large Fish x1 — HP +200
  • Grilled Bird Meat — Bird Meat x1 — HP +120
  • Grilled Seafood — Mollusk x1 — HP +160
  • Grilled Vegetables — Vegetable x1 — Spirit +4
  • Grilled Fruit — Fruit x1 — Spirit +4
  • Oeuf Fumé — Egg x1 — HP +120
  • Grains Toastés - Grains x1 - HP +120

The best effort/reward ratio in the early game is the Large Grilled Fish to +200 HP. Fish a big fish, grill it, that's it. Otherwise, regular meat does the job.

Grilled recipes: skewers, fried foods, and marinades

This is where the kitchen becomes interesting. The dishes at Field Grill all give Fire Resistance as a bonus, what is crucial in volcanic areas and against certain bosses.

Recipes in the pot: soups and porridges

The recipes in the pot (Field Pot) give Ice Resistance instead of Fire Resistance. It's your survival kit for the northern part of the map and the frozen dungeons.

The Longhorn Soup is a special case: it gives No Stamina Cost for 2 seconds . It seems short, but in the middle of a combo on a boss, it's two seconds of free spam. The Long Horn drops on the big-horned deer in the Hernand Highlands.

Special recipes: the most powerful dishes in the game

Let's get down to business. The special tools (Special Griddle and Special Iron Pot) unlock recipes with absurd stats. And above all that, there are the Feasts — mega-dishes that require other dishes as ingredients.

Where to farm the ingredients

Cooking is good. But without ingredients, it's an empty menu. Here are the best sources for each category.

Meat and poultry

You hunt animals. It's as simple as that. Boars and wolves drop from the Meat classic, birds of the Viande d'oiseau . For the Fine Meat and the Tender Meat (necessary for special recipes), targets deer and large animals in the Hernand Highlands. The Greymane camp can also produce meat through dispatch missions.

Cooking Oil

The most requested and the most annoying ingredient to find in bulk. Two options: buy from the city grocers (Hernand, Valencia), or farm the chest route to the northeast of the map, above Beard Tree Gorge The chests respawn and regularly contain oil.

Water, milk, eggs, and salt

The water is obtained by breaking the stacked jars that we see everywhere, or by buying from merchants. The milk comes from the Greymane ranch once you have cows. The eggs are recovered in potholes at the camp or are bought. The salt is farmed via dispatch missions or purchased from grocers.

Rare ingredients (feasts)

Feasts require exotic ingredients in addition to basic dishes:

  • Wild Ginseng — is harvested in mountainous areas to the north
  • Cocoa — can be purchased from certain specialized merchants or through the Box of Fortune (100 silver)
  • Coffee Cherry — rare harvest in temperate zones
  • Red Seaweed / Razor Clam — on beaches and coastal areas
  • Amarante / Skyroot — picking in wild areas
  • Long Horn — drop on horned deer in the Hernand Highlands

Tip: the Greymane camp is your best passive source. Once the farm and ranch are upgraded, they automatically produce cereals, vegetables, eggs, milk, and meat. Combine that with dispatch missions for salt and rare spices, and you will have a nearly permanent stock.

The best dishes by situation

Instead of crafting everything randomly, here's what you should prepare according to what you do in the game.

  • Exploration early game — Grilled Meat Stack (+140 HP) or Clear Soup (+180 HP + Ice Res). Easy to craft, ingredients everywhere.
  • Boss mid-game — Harvest Roll (+420 HP, +34 Spirit, Fire Res Lv 4) or Longhorn Soup (+360 HP + No Stamina 2s). The Longhorn Soup is a game changer for combos.
  • Glacial zones — Any recipe for the pot. Grain Soup, Meat Soup, or Seafood Soup for Ice Resistance Lv 4.
  • Volcanic zones / fire boss — Battered Harvest Roll (+700 HP, Fire Res Lv 6) or any Special Griddle dish.
  • Boss endgame — Grand Meal (Full HP +600 over max) for the tank, or Hearty Lavish Meal (Stamina +75% + ATK +25) for the DPS.
  • Emergency reset — Chocolate (+50% HP). Compact, powerful, only requires cocoa and milk.
  • Speedrun / DPS check — Bird Soup (Ignore Stamina 4 sec) before the pull, then Hearty Lavish Meal (ATK +25) during the fight.
