You own (or are eyeing) an RTX 5090 and want to know whether it will fit in your case. The answer depends less on the “gaming” label than on three numbers: the card’s length, its thickness in slots and the heat it dumps into the case.
NVIDIA’s Founders Edition is the exception: 304 mm long, 137 mm tall and 2 slots. Partner models are much bigger. Our reference card, the MSI RTX 5090 32G Gaming Trio OC, measures 359 × 149 × 70 mm and takes up 3.5 slots according to MSI’s spec sheet.

On the power side, NVIDIA lists 575 W Total Graphics Power and recommends a 1,000 W power supply for the whole system, with a 600 W PCIe Gen 5 cable (or four 8-pin cables through the included adapter). Those 575 W end up as heat inside the case, so airflow matters as much as space. For the PSU itself, see our guide to choosing a PC power supply.
