All-Razer ~$8,000 setup: what's actually worth it (LTT adapted)

Linus Tech Tips just dropped The ALL RAZER Gaming Setup (uploaded ~26/09/2026): simple idea, maximalist execution — buy everything Razer makes for a gaming desk, RGB included. LTT’s announced ticket sits around ~$8,000 (about ~€7,000 at the 27/09/2026 rate, ~0.88 USD/EUR). We’re not here to clone the video: we adapt it DropReference buyer-first — what justifies the “Razer tax”, what you can skip, and where to look in the catalog.

In the video, the PC is the Razer Blade 16 (2026) in mobile RTX 5090 config — the line item that already eats most of the budget. Vendor specs: Intel Core Ultra 9 386H, up to 165 W TGP, 16" OLED 240 Hz / TrueBlack 1000, LPDDR5X-9600 up to 64 GB, chassis ~14.9 mm. Tom’s Hardware timed a 5090 config around ~$4,900 US; 2026 Amazon US listings put the 5090 32 GB/2 TB near $4,899.99 and the 64 GB/2 TB near $5,599.99 (≈ €4,300–4,900 at the same rate — listed US prices, not an invented EU store tag).

On DropReference, the Blade 16 5090 2026 isn’t a card yet. The closest catalog match is the Blade 18 UHD+ 240 Hz / Ultra 9 / RTX 5090 — same flagship family, bigger screen, same “laptop Razer tax” logic. Blade 16 SKUs still listed on DR sit on older 4070/4080 configs: fine for used / deal hunting, not for matching the LTT 5090.

Buyer verdict: yes if you truly want the premium portable ecosystem + OLED + 5090. No if you compare to an equivalent desktop: for the same spend, a Mid-Tower + desktop 5090 often crushes 165 W mobile outside of portability. Here the Razer tax buys the CNC chassis, the display and the brand — not FPS/$.

LTT leans hard on the Huntsman V3 Pro Tenkeyless 8 kHz: Gen-2 analog optical switches, Rapid Trigger, Snap Tap, adjustable actuation, real 8,000 Hz HyperPolling. US Razer pricing sits around $219.99–$249.99 depending on edition (≈ €190–220 converted) — again listed US prices, check your local store the day you buy.

In the DR catalog, the closest match is the Huntsman V3 Pro HE Magnetic TKL 8000 Hz: same esports TKL + 8 kHz brief. If you play Valorant / CS / fighters and want Rapid Trigger + Snap Tap without building a custom, this is one of the rare Razer peripherals where the tax is more debatable. If you mostly type Office plus a bit of AAA, a solid rival TKL at $100–150 will do 95% of the job.

LTT combo: HyperFlux V2 + Basilisk V3 Pro 35K. The mouse (Focus Pro 35K, up to ~$159.99 US listed for the 35K) is a real customizable ergo; HyperFlux is the mat/dock that charges it cable-free — desk comfort, not a skill upgrade. HyperFlux is missing from the DropReference catalog as we write this: so no HyperFlux product-dr card here. Treat it as a “nice to have” if you hate cables, or skip and keep a Mouse Dock Pro / 8 kHz dongle if polling is the real goal.

In catalog we point to the Basilisk V3 Pro Wireless 30K (verified EAN): same ergo / HyperSpeed lineage. The 35K in the video is the sensor + battery refresh; for a buyer, the V3 Pro stays the relevant soft-link until the 35K has a card.

LTT equips the BlackShark V3 Pro (HyperSpeed Gen-2, hybrid ANC, full-band mic). That’s the “competitive audio performance” buy, not the lifestyle Barracuda cousin. If you stream or play ranked with footstep reading, keep this slot. If you just want Discord + Spotify, a Barracuda X Chroma (also in catalog) is cheaper in spirit — but it’s not the same brief.

The LTT flex works because it’s an ecosystem demo, not a price/perf-optimized build. For a buyer:

• Prioritize 3 slots: laptop (or desktop), HE/analog 8 kHz keyboard, ergo or lightweight mouse — everything else is decoration.
• Always start from listed US $ (Razer/Amazon), convert (~0.88 → indicative €) if you shop EU, then check today’s local price.
• Product-dr soft-links above = EAN HTTP 200 on dropreference.com; HyperFlux deliberately omitted (not in catalog).
• RGB everywhere does not raise your rank. Skip the Razer tax on stands / cooling pads / licensed gear at 100%.
