The KIOXIA EXCERIA PLUS G3 is an excellent choice for most users who want to upgrade to a PCIe 4.0 SSD without breaking the bank. It offers an excellent compromise between performance, reliability and price. This model is a "DRAM-less" SSD, which means it doesn't include dedicated DRAM cache memory. It relies on HMB (Host Memory Buffer) technology to use part of the system RAM as cache. Kioxia, formerly Toshiba, is a reliable flash memory manufacturer. The Exceria Plus G3 model generally has a good reputation for reliability. However, some users on the TechPowerUp forums have questioned the endurance rating (TBW) for the 2TB version, finding it potentially low for very intensive long-term use.
