  • •We now recommend using DDR5 for all new builds. It is stable and prices are now reasonable.
  • •If you are building a new setup, it is better to get RAM in pairs or sets of four. The RAM will therefore operate in pairs, and memory management will be highly optimized.

Pros

  • •Top brand highly recommended by DropReference for RAM
  • •2 x 8 GB is the classic for gaming and will run all games quite well! If you want to go bigger, you can aim for 32 GB still in dual channel (2x16GB)
  • •This RAM has overclocking capabilities that can boost your performance (not by much, but it's still something). However, you need a motherboard that allows you to unlock EXPO or XMP.

Cons

  • •For a DDR4, the frequency of this RAM is very low and will not allow for good gaming conditions. DropReference does not recommend this RAM for gaming.
